Love You

Here's a sweet card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs helped this one to come together quickly.

Love You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
For the background, I covered a navy card base with a square of striped patterned paper and a contrasting strip of red cardstock.  The "love you" sentiment was heat embossed in white on the red panel.  The embossing gives the white text just a little extra pop.

I used an envelope, die cut with the Mini Envelopes and Accessories die set, as my focal image.  It's adhered to the cardfront with foam tape.  I topped the envelope with a small die cut red heart.  To add a little more dimension to the design, I arranged a trio of different sized red enamel dots around the envelope.  The one on the red panel gets a little lost, but I still like the look.

Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Mini Envelopes and Accessories, and Of the Heart dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Night of Navy and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Pen Pals 6x6 paper pad (Pink Paislee); enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); Snow embossing powder (Michaels); foam tape
