Make a Wish

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  It's been a while since I did much coloring, so I spent a little time coloring up a Pure Innocence image for the sketch.

Make a Wish card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I used the Pure Innocence Make a Wish set and colored the girl with Copic markers.  After cutting her out, I used foam tape to adhere her to an oval panel stamped with the image.  I stamped the image on the cardstock so that the little dandelion seeds would remain with the image--no way to fussy cut those!

The image panel was adhered to a yellow patterned paper panel edged at the top and bottom with coordinating solid yellow cardstock.  I did a little fancy die cutting with one of my Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies to get a double-ended fishtail flag strip to tuck underneath the raised image.  I stamped the "make a wish" sentiment on a small circle and used more foam tape to adhere it to the cardfront.  The finished panel was layered on to a green card base to match the girl's dress.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Make a Wish stamp set, Lemon Drop and Sour Apple cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Oval Stax and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); What a Wonderful Day 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); circle punch (EK Success); foam tape

  1. Love the way you popped her up over the stamped image so that the seeds would show. And, the green strip placed under the image is very clever, too. Great card!
