Shine Bright Like a Diamond
Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge. I was inspired by the Muse card's layout and white space--and used a bit from a song in my card, too!
I started out by die cutting a large star from a white cardstock panel. I used foam tape to adhere the panel to a shiny silver panel, then filled in the star-shaped opening with a white star and a silver star, also popped up with foam tape.
I stamped the "shine bright like a diamond" sentiment from the Clear and Simple Stamps Rag Doll Mia: Star set on a narrow white cardstock strip using silver ink, then heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. The embossed strip was layered on to a silver cardstock strip, then adhered to the white panel just beneath the stars. The finished panel was adhered to a white card base.
Speaking of Clear and Simple Stamps, have you checked out the brand new CSS website yet? If not, you've got to check it out! The site features a fabulous new look and lots of new and improved features, plus CSS's great lineup of stamps, dies, and coordinating papers and inks.
Materials Used:
Rag Doll Mia: Star stamp set, Sterling Silver and A Blanc Check cardstock, Shapes: Stars dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko); silver embossing powder (American Crafts); foam tape
