You're the Bomb
Here's my card for the current Sugar Sketch at Sugar Pea Designs. I used the Classroom Cupids set for this bold design.
I covered a red-orange card base with a piece of red chevron patterned paper. A pair of contrasting cardstock strips--one gray and one sparkly silver--were adhered to the left side of the cardfront. I topped the strips with the sentiment panel. The "you're the bomb" text was stamped in gray pigment ink. I stamped the bomb in the same gray pigment ink, with the exception of the little spark at the end. For that, I used a small cat's eye ink pad so that I could just ink just that tiny portion of the image. I carefully fussy cut around the stamped image, then used foam tape to adhere it to the bottom of the sentiment panel.
Materials Used:
Classroom Cupids stamp set (Sugar Pea Designs); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink, Memento Love Letter ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Persimmon and Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); silver paper (Target); Happy-Go-Lucky 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs); corner rounder; foam tape
