I Think You're Spectacular

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used some older patterned paper in my stash to put this one together pretty quickly.

I Think You're Spectacular card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
The eyeglasses patterned paper was a perfect match for MFT's Geek Is Chic set!  I cut the paper on an angle and adhered it to a kraft panel.  The patterned paper was matted with MFT's Chocolate cardstock to help set it off from the kraft background.  I die cut a fishtail flag strip from cream cardstock, then stamped the "I think you're spectacular" sentiment on the strip in brown pigment ink.  The sentiment was adhered to the kraft panel just beneath the patterned paper.  I rounded the top left corner of the panel, then adhered it to a cream card base.  To finish the card, I added a trio of red enamel dots for a little pop of bold color against the card's more muted color palette.

Materials Used:
Geek Is Chic stamp set, Chocolate cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax die (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Off to School 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs); enamel dots (Prima); corner rounder
