Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 258-I Look Up to You

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  I used some new stamps from Mama Elephant for my sweet card for this week's sketch.

After two failed attempts at watercoloring the bear image, I ended up coloring the bears with Copic markers, then used the matching die to cut out the colored image.  I used foam tape to adhere the bears to a round background panel made from green and navy cardstock to look like a nighttime scene.  To add to the nighttime feel, I stamped a pair of tiny stars using gold ink and added a moon image from the set, too.

After matting the scene on a kraft panel, I layered it on to a multicolored striped panel, also matted on kraft.  The panels were adhered to a turquoise cardstock panel with a golden yellow cardstock strip across it.  I cut a trio of fishtail flag strips from cardstock scraps and tucked them underneath the bottom edge of the striped panel.  The set's "I look up to you" sentiment was stamped just beneath the striped panel in black pigment ink.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
