Thanks a Latte
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I flipped the sketch over to create this coffee themed card.
I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I do love coffee themed stamp sets! I've had the Perk Up set in my collection for a while, but I think this may be the first time I've used it and the coordinating Coffee Cup die. I started off by using the largest Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax die to cut away a notched piece from a pink patterned paper panel. After adhering a narrow strip of Insulation Pink cardstock edged with a Kraft cardstock scrap near the bottom of the patterned paper panel, I set the panel on a piece of kraft cardstock.
I used scraps of white and kraft cardstock to die cut and assemble the to go cup that I used in place of the sketch's round element. The cup was adhered with foam tape for a bit of dimension. I stamped the "thanks a latte" sentiment on the panel in brown pigment ink. The actual stamp is one long line of words, but since it's a clear stamp, it was easy to stamp it in two lines to fit the space I had to use. I added a trio of pretty rose gold sequins around the text for a touch of sparkle. The finished panel was adhered to an Insulation Pink card base.
Materials Used:
Perk Up stamp set, Insulation Pink cardstock, Die-namics Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax, and Coffee Cup dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Memories Captured 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Design); sequins (Michaels); foam tape
