The Challenge 26-Good Day, Sunshine

The Challenge is back with a new sketch and color combination!  You can choose to use just the sketch, just the colors, or to combine them both on your card. I used both the sketch and the colors on this cheery design.

Good Day, Sunshine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs
It's been so cold and dreary around here lately that I've had to work hard to make my own sunshine on cards like this one!  I fashioned a sun from a pinking edged circle cut from orange cardstock and topped with a slightly smaller orange dotted circle.   I topped the sun with a pair of clouds die cut from shimmery white cardstock.

The sun and clouds were adhered to a teal card base, overlapping a piece of gray on gray dotted patterned paper on the left side of the card base.  I stamped the "good day, sunshine"sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Sol Sentiments set in white ink on a gray fishtail flag strip, then heat embossed it in white so it would really pop against the gray.  The sentiment was layered over the sun and clouds.  I added a trio of orange-y sequins scattered around the sun for a touch of sparkle.

Don't miss what the rest of the amazing challenge team has created to inspire you!  We have two new members joining us for the first time today today--Lee Ann Barrett, who will be a regular member of the team, and March's featured designer, Narelle Farrugia.  Here's where to find them:
