How Wonderful Life Is

Here's my card for this month's final Viva la Verve sketch.  I love Verve's sentiments and I made one of them the focus on this design.

How Wonderful Life Is card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Verve Stamps
I picked a sentiment from the Wonderful Marvelous set and stamped it in brown pigment ink on a kraft panel with rounded edges.  To go with the sentiment, I layered a cloud patterned paper panel on an angle over a piece of aqua cardstock.  After adding a strip of aqua twill across the panel, I placed the sentiment on top.  I accented it with a tiny red heart, cut with Verve's Heart Quartet die.  The die cut green banner across the top left corner of the card balanced the design and added a bit of contrasting color, too.  I adhered the finished panel to a white card base.

Materials Used:
Wonderful Marvelous stamp set, Heart Quartet and Pennant Trim dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); cloud patterned paper (Studio Calico card kit); blue twill (Martha Stewart); corner rounder; foam tape

  1. This is positively dreamy! Just love how you paired that cloudy sky paper with this sentiment.
