Sending You Love
Here's my card for this week's sketch at Retro Sketches. I used some new stamps and dies from WPlus9--and more watercoloring!--for this one.
I started off by making my watercolor background panel. The hearts were heat embossed in white on the watercolor paper, then I did a light watercolor wash over them. Love how the hearts resist the paint! I used foam tape to layer the die cut umbrella on top.
After matting the image on turquoise paper, I adhered it to a slightly larger aqua mat. The "sending my love" sentiment was adhered on an angle at the bottom of the panel. I adhered the finished image panel to an aqua card base with a multicolored patterned paper strip along the right edge.
Materials Used:
Love Showers stamp set, Love Showers dies (WPlus9); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, and Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); Summer Bliss 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); Snow embossing powder, watercolor paper, watercolors (Michaels); foam tape
