Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 265-Puppy Love
It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! My best friend and her family just got a brand new puppy yesterday, so I used the sketch along with stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps to make a card to welcome adorable little Lulu (she's the size of my Chloe the cutie puppy's head!). Of course, I managed to not have the card with me yesterday when I went to meet the puppy, so my friend will get a peek of this on my blog before she actually has the card in hand . . .
Instead of coloring the puppy from the Little Critter Pals 2 set for the focal image, I paper pieced the die cut doggie using different scraps of CSS cardstock. In the end, coloring might have been quicker than all of the fussy cutting I did! I used foam tape to adhere the dog to the cream panel, then added a red Favor Flag die cut strip stamped with the "puppy love" sentiment from the Critter Sentiments set beneath it.
The finished image panel was adhered to a red diagonal striped panel. After edging the patterned paper panel with brown cardstock, I layered it on to a kraft card base.
To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on the SSSC blog. Be sure to stop by the blog to check out what the SSSC team has created using the sketch. And, don't forget to check in on Wednesday to see one of our favorite cards made with the sketch.
Materials Used:
Little Critter Pals 2 and Critter Sentiments stamp sets, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Brown Leather Satchel, Creme de la Creme, and Kraft Like a Rockstar cardstock, Little Critter Pals and Favor Flags dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Alphabet Soup Girl "Lovely" designer paper (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
