Sweet Thanks

I needed a few thank you cards this week, so I used the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to put together a sweet thank you design.

Sweet Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
The donuts were made with a donut die from Reverse Confetti.  I was lazy and stamped the sprinkles on using pink pigment ink instead of gluing on individual tiny die cuts.  I arranged the donuts on a white card  base with a strip of pink dotted patterned paper along the left edge.  I stamped the "sweet thanks" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Donut You Know set in brown pigment ink on a banner strip, then used foam tape to adhere the finished sentiment strip over the donuts.  I added a bit of sparkle with some pink sequins arranged around the donuts and sentiment.  And, the card has already made its way to its recipient--a sweet kindergarten student who brought me an owl necklace to mark the end of our kindergarten year together!

Materials Used:
Donut You Know stamp set, Confetti Cuts Tag Me and Donut You Know dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Luxe Rose Bud and Rich Cocoa inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); pink dotted patterned paper (Michaels); pink sequins (Treehouse Studio); foam tape

  1. Lori, I love your donuts with the sprinkles! My favorite kind!!

  2. Love these donuts! And the pinks work so well with the kraft cardstock. Fabulous card! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  3. SO "sweet"!! I love the soft pink and kraft, with the sentiment set off beautifully using the raspberry. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
