Leaping Lions
I'm getting ready to pack up one final box of cards to send to Operation Write Home, so I've been putting together a few birthday cards to include in the mix. This one is based on the current Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try.
I colored up the lion image using Copic markers, then cut him out using the matching dies. He was adhered to a blue textured cardstock panel using foam tape for dimension. Instead of using a long fishtail flag strip to accent the panel's upper left hand corner, I used the little pennant from the stamp set. I stamped the birthday sentiment along the bottom of the panel in blue ink.
The panel was layered on to a yellow card base over a piece of chevron patterned paper that I matted with contrasting red cardstock. To bring in one final pop of red, I lined up three red enamel dots along the edge of the image panel.
Materials Used:
Leaping Lions stamp set, Confetti Cuts Leaping Lions and Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue, Poppy Parade, and So Saffron cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Sunny Side 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); red enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
