Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 277-Rain or Shine

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  This week's sketch has a nice, large round panel for us to work with.

Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama Elephant
I used one of the raincoat-clad cuties from Mama Elephant's Chance of Rain set.  I colored up the image with Copic markers.  After stamping just the umbrella's handle on the image, I added the umbrella to the image using foam tape, letting it extend just beyond the edge of the round panel.

I mixed and matched a pair of patterned papers from an Echo Park paper pad to cover most of the yellow card base.  The seam between the papers was hidden by a pair of coordinating solid cardstock strips.  I stamped the set's "I'm here rain or shine" sentiment near the bottom of the card in black ink.  I wish I'd stamped it a little closer to the right  edge of the cardfront . . .

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on the SSSC blog.  Be sure to stop by the blog to check out what the SSSC team has created using the sketch.  And, don't forget to check in on Wednesday to see one of our favorite cards made with the sketch.

Materials Used:
Chance of Rain stamp set (Mama Elephant); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Lemon Drop and Summer Splash cardstock (My Favorite Things); Sunny Days Ahead 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); circle die (Spellbinders); foam tape
