SugarPea Designs September Sweet Peek Week-Day 2

Ahh Nuts card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPeaDesigns

September Sweet Peek Week continues today at SugarPea Designs!  Today we're sharing the new Nuts About You stamp set and two new SugarCuts die sets--Woodgrain Journal Card and Stitched Autumn Icons dies.  You're going to love these perfect for fall stamps and dies!

Ahh Nuts card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPeaDesignsI made the squirrel from the Nuts About You set the focal image on my card.  I colored him with Copic markers, then cut him out.  I made a woodgrain background for him by cutting the SugarCuts Woodgrain Journal Card from kraft cardstock, then cutting out a circle from the embossed piece.

I adhered the woodgrain circle to an olive cardstock panel over a piece of dotted patterned paper.  The colors in the paper are a little non-traditional for fall, but that adds to the fun of the card.  I stamped a portion of one of the set's sentiments ("ahh nuts!") on a cream cardstock strip and added it to the panel, tucking one end underneath the squirrel image.  I love how clear stamps make it so easy to just use part of a sentiment!  I die cut an acorn and a pair of leaves using the Stitched Autumn Icons dies and arranged the trio at the opposite end of the sentiment strip. The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base.
