The Challenge 45-I'm Here Rain or Shine

The Challenge is back again with a new challenge!  This week we have a sketch challenge.  My design was inspired by the dreary, rainy weather we've been having around here for the last few days.  I'll be glad to see the sun when it finally makes an appearance!

I'm Here Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama Elephant
I used my Copic markers to color one of the raincoat clad cuties and an umbrella from the Mama Elephant Chance of Rain set.  The images were cut out and adhered to a light blue circle using foam tape.  After matting the circle on a darker blue circle, I adhered it to some raindrop patterned paper.  The paper was edged with narrow strips of yellow cardstock, then adhered to a light blue card base.  I stamped the "I'm here rain or shine" sentiment next to the image panel in black ink, then scattered a trio of silver sequin "raindrops" around the card to complete the design.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based on this week's sketch.  Here's where to find them:

Lesley Croghan, challenge creator
Shona Chambers, October featured designer
Valentyna Komisarenko, guest designer

  2. Oh, such a sweet card, Lori! Lovely rainy paper and the image is just cute!

  3. So stinkin' cute, Lori! Love blue and yellow together; throw in an umbrella and you cannot go wrong!
