Color Throwdown 391-Let's Celebrate

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  We've got some exciting news along with this week's challenge.  We're thrilled to welcome last month's guestie, Amy Rohl, as a full-time member of the CTD team, starting with this week's challenge!  Our "other" Amy R is the challenge hostess this week and she's picked a palette that includes pink aqua, orange/red, and yellow.  I used the colors along with the current sketch at RetroSketches for my festive design.

Let's Celebrate card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I used stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs for my sweet square card.  The balloons were cut from cardstock scraps, then arranged over a strip of washi tape on an aqua panel.  I stamped the "let's celebrate" sentiment from the Just Sayin' set above the tape in gray pigment ink.  A bunch of different color and size enamel dots were scattered around the balloons, adding to the festive look of the design.  After matting the panel with yellow cardstock, I adhered it to a pink card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD391. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd391 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our May guestie Jill Dewey Hawkins, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Kirsty McIntyre.
