We hope you'll play along! The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge! Please visit the Curtain Call Challenge blog for all the challenge info and deadline.
My card for the challenge was inspired by the photo's red, white, and blue color scheme. I made a patriotic design based on the current sketch at The Paper Players. The focal image is a layered star made with Reverse Confetti's Seeing Stars dies. I used foam tape to adhere them to a shimmery white circle over a messy pile of silver thread. The shine of the thread and sparkly paper bring in the glittery look of the sugar on the cherry in the inspiration photo.
I added the round panel to the top of a star patterned paper panel stamped with the "you are my hero" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Because of the Brave set. The words are heat embossed to pop against the patterned paper. After matting the panel on navy cardstock, I adhered it to a red cardstock panel. The panel was matted on more shimmery white cardstock, then adhered to a coordinating navy card base.
