Mojo Monday 455-Simply Amazing
Happy Monday! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch. I did a little watercoloring for my take on the layout.
I started out by stamping the outline flowers from Verve's Simply Amazing stamp set on a watercolor paper panel, then heat embossing the stamped images. The flowers were watercolored with Zig markers. The colors are better blended IRL than in the photo, I promise! The watercolored panel was matted on pale gray cardstock, then adhered to a gray striped patterned paper panel. I added a yellow polka dotted circle to the upper left corner of the panel, trimming the edges so they were flush with the panel's edges. The round piece was topped with a long, narrow fishtail flag strip cut from shimmery silver paper. The set's "you are simply amazing" sentiment was stamped on a wide pale gray fishtail flag strip and adhered to the bottom of the watercolored panel. I adhered the finished panel to a coordinating yellow card base.
Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time. A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along. Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch! You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
