Whale Hello There

I'm sliding in just under the wire with this sweet, simple card for the current sketch at CAS(e)  this Sketch.  I went with a mostly monochromatic color scheme on this ocean themed design.

Whale Hello There card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Clear and Simple Stamps
The whale duo is from the Clear and Simple Stamps Seaside Sentiments 1 set.  I stamped them in blue pigment ink, then carefully cut them out.  The eyes were dotted with a bit of a gray Pico Embellisher for contrast.  I used foam tape to adhere the whales to a light blue card base with a wavy edged panel along the bottom.  The waves were made with two different sized circle punches.  The set's "whale, hello there" sentiment was stamped above the whales in blue.  I felt like the design was missing something, so I stamped a trio of teeny, tiny red hearts from the Taglines:  Critters stamp set between the whales in contrasting red pigment ink.  The little pops of red were just enough to finish the design!

Materials Used:
Seaside Sentiments 1 and Taglines:  Critters stamp sets, My Favorite Blue Jeans and Trendsetter Blue cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Memento Luxe Bahama Blue and Love Letter inks, Gray Flannel irRESISTible Pico Embellisher (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); circle punches (EK Success); foam tape
