You're A-maize-ing

It may be the hottest part of the summer around here, but I was thinking of fall when I put together this fun design for the current Patterned Palooza challenge at Lawnscaping. I mixed 4 different patterns here, but I think they work beautifully on my simple scene!

You're A-maize-ing card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI colored the scarecrow image from Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest stamp set with Copic markers, then carefully cut out the colored image.  I used foam tape to adhere the image to a blue card base covered with some cloud patterned paper on top and a strip of curvy dotted green "grass" at the bottom.  A pair of pumpkins stamped on orange grid patterned paper was arranged at the scarecrow's feet.  To fill in the scene, I added a striped sun to the card's top corner.

The set's "you're a-maize-ing" sentiment was stamped next to the scarecrow directly on the patterned panel using black ink.  To get a nice, dark impression that would stand out from the bus pattern, I used my MISTI and stamped the words three times.  That did the trick perfectly!

Materials Used:
Happy Harvest stamp set, Let's Polka Freshly Cut Grass Polka designer paper, Let's Polka and Pint-Sized Patterns 6x6 paper pads (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Cool Caribbean cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink);Lime Twist-Fly a Kite "Genuine" Sky designer paper (My Mind's Eye); Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); Pinking Circle dies (Spellbinders); circle punch (EK Success); foam tape
