I took the inspiration for my card from the apples and their bold colors. The layout for my card is based on the current sketch at The Paper Players and with its school theme, it fits the current Can You Case It challenge, too. I stamped a pair of apples--one red and one green-- on white cardstock using pigment ink, then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder for a shiny look like the apples in the photo.
After cutting them out with the matching die, I used foam tape to adhere the apples to a green panel stamped with a typewriter style background stamp in white ink. The panel was adhered to a black card base alongside a strip of grid patterned paper. I stamped the "you're a class act" sentiment on a red banner strip and stapled it to the cardfront to go with my school theme.
