Love Struck
Here's my card for this month's Paper Smooches love themed challenge. I made an interactive card using the Love Struck stamp set and coordinating dies.
The set's cupid is my focal image. I colored him with Copic markers, then cut him out with the coordinating die. It doesn't show in the photo, but his wings have just a touch of sparkle on them courtesy of a clear glitter brush marker.
The backdrop was made with a cloud template and an ink blending tool. I faded out the background, starting darker at the top and getting paler and paler as I moved towards the top of the panel. After cutting a channel in the panel, I put the cupid in place so he could slide up and down. I surrounded him with a trio of red hearts cut with PS's Tiny Hearts dies (one of my all-time favorite die sets!), then stamped the "love struck" sentiment at the bottom of the panel in red pigment ink. The finished panel was matted on red cardstock, then adhered to a turquoise card base using foam tape.
Materials Used:
Love Struck stamp set, Love Struck and Tiny Hearts dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Love Letter inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Mermaid Lagoon distress ink (Ranger) markers (Copic); clear Sparkle glitter brush pen (Spectrum Noir); Tempting Turquoise and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Surf and Turf dies, Spin and Slide discs (My Favorite Things); foam tape
