Who Loves You?

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I turned the layout into a simple nighttime scene featuring stamps from Paper Smooches.

Who Loves You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I made the large round element into a moon by cutting a circle from yellow cardstock and debossing it with a polka dotted pattern.  It was adhered to a blue card base and trimmed so the side of the circle was flush with the edge of the cardfront.  I stamped the large owl from the Hooties stamp set aqnd colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out with the matching Owl Icons die.  The image was adhered to the cardfront using foam tape for dimension.  I stamped the set's "who loves you?" sentiment on a kraft fishtail flag "branch" and placed it on the cardfront, positioning it just beneath the owl image.  A few white sequin "stars" completed the design.

Materials Used
Hooties stamp set, Owl Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Blueberry Sky and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); So Saffron cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); white sequins; foam tape
