Mojo Monday 495-You Are Appreciated
Happy Monday! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up shortly, so I used the sketch to create a card to give to a teacher colleague.
I mixed and matched a bunch of paper scraps from a school themed paper pad for the different elements on the card. Each panel was layered on to red cardstock to set it off from the kraft background and the other pattern pieces. It's kind of busy, but I think the theme helps to pull it all together. The "you are appreciated" sentiment from Verve's Teachers Count stamp set was stamped on a kraft panel, then stapled at the left edge to go with my school theme. I accented it with a stamped apple from the same set, positioned at the bottom right side of the sentiment panel using foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base to coordinate with the matted panels.
Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time. A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along. Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch! You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
