Crazy 4 Challenges 385-Happy Mother's Day

I'm back with another card as a guest designer for Crazy 4 Challenges!  This week's challenge is to create a card using green--with bonus points for using emerald green, which is this month's birthstone.

Happy Mother's Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Papertrey Ink
I used several shades of green (no emerald, though!) for this Mother's Day design.  The layout is from the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I stamped the leafy image from Papertrey Ink's Turning a New Leaf set in green pigment ink on a white panel, then filled in the remaining white space with a floral image from the Everyday Classics set.  After matting the panel on coordinating pink cardstock, I adhered it to a pale green card base with an angled block of dotted green cardstock.  The "happy Mother's Day" sentiment is from the Blooming Button Bits stamp set.  I stamped it in green ink on a white strip and matted it on pink cardstock before adding it to the cardfront.

Be sure to stop by the C4C blog to see the cards created by the rest of the team--and to link up your project!

Materials Used:
Turning a New Leaf, Everyday Classics, and Blooming Button Bits stamp sets, Ripe Avocado, Pale Peony, and Spring Moss cardstock, Simply Chartreuse patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Memento Luxe Angel Pink ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Lemon Grass pigment ink (Avery Elle)

  1. A beautiful green project and just a hint of pink, Lori. A lovely Mother's Day card and a wonderful take on our GDP Sketch Challenge.
