I Wheelie Like You
It's been a while since I inked up one of my Pure Innocence cuties from My Favorite Things! So, I pulled out the I Wheelie Like You set and took my inspiration from the current Fusion challenge (both the sketch and inspiration photo) and the current wheels theme challenge at Global Design Project to create this cute card.
The colors I used for the image were inspired by the colors in the Fusion inspiration photo. After I finished coloring, I carefully cut the image out. I built the background for the image by adhering a gray rounded edge panel, created with one of MFT's Stitched Basic Edges dies, to the bottom of an aqua panel. I filled in the sky with a die cut sun and flat-bottomed clouds, then added the image on top using foam tape. The set's "I wheelie like you" sentiment was stamped in white pigment ink at the bottom of the gray panel, then heat embossed it in white for a nice pop against the dark background. I used foam tape to adhere the image panel to a card base with a gray and white striped panel set at the bottom. The pattern adds a bit of interest to the design without taking away from the sweet scene.
Materials Used:
Pure Innocence I Wheelie Like You stamp set, Orange Fizz and Grout Gray cardstock, Die-namics Stitched Basic Edges dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Summer Sun 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs); pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); Recollections Snow embossing powder (Michaels); foam tape
