I took my inspiration for my card from the photo's cool treat theme and pretty color scheme. Instead of making a cup of sorbet my focal image, I used another sweet treat--a popsicle! My popsicle is from
Concord & 9th's Sweet and Cool stamp set. I used the dies to cut the popsicle shape from a panel of watercolored paper, then cut the popsicle stick from a scrap of kraft cardstock. The finished popsicle was adhered to a blue watercolor washed panel on an angle to add interest. To give it an icy look, I brushed a light coating of glitter on the die cut piece using a glitter brush pen. So pretty IRL!
The "have a cool birthday" sentiment was stamped in silver pigment ink next to the popsicle, then heat embossed in silver. A trio of clear sequins were positioned around the popsicle, kind of like melty drops of liquid. I matted the panel on berry cardstock, then placed it on an aqua card base with a silver strip positioned across it.
