You're Plane Awesome

The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is watercoloring.  Not one of my strengths, but I gave it a shot for this sweet design.

You're Plane Awesome card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
I stamped a trio of clouds from Lawn Fawn's Plane and Simple stamp set in white ink on a watercolor panel, then heat embossed the clouds.  Once the embossing cooled, I used Zig Clean Color markeres to watercolor the sky.  The embossing helped me to keep the color outside of the cloud outlines.  While the panel dried, I watercolored the plane image, using a contrasting bright red.  After die cutting the image, I added it to the panel using foam tape.  The "you're plane awesome" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in black pigment ink.  I accented the image with a trio of white sequins, then adhered the finished panel to a coordinating dark blue card base.

Materials Used:
Plane and Simple stamp set, Plane and Simple dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black and Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Clean Color markers (Zig); Pacific Point cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections clear embossing powder (Michaels); white sequins; foam tape
