Color Throwdown 453-Best Wishes
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week with a yummy color combination--raspberry, yellow, and green. I paired the colors with the current sketch at The Paper Players for this colorful design.
I inked up a bunch of images from Reverse Confetti's Blooms 'n Buds set. After cutting them out with the matching dies, I mixed and matched pieces until I came up with an arrangement I liked. I adhered the images to a green panel, using foam tape on some of the pieces for dimension. The "best wishes" sentiment from RC's In a Big Way stamp set was stamped to the right of the flowers in black ink. I edged the green panel with narrow strips of raspberry cardstock, then adhered it to a yellow striped patterned paper panel. The panel was adhered to a green card base to complete the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD453. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd453 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our July guestie Tracey McNeely, and this week's Guest Star stamper, Julie White.

Lovely card Lori!
ReplyDeleteI like the contrasting fonts in the sentiment and how boldly the sentiment shows out against the subtle colours of the background. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
