Happy Birthday, My Friend

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch challenge.  I used the layout to make a sweet birthday design featuring the Beary Special Birthday stamp set.

My focal image is the set's balloon and gift-toting bear.  I colored him up with Copic markers, then cut him out with the matching die.  I used foam tape to adhere him inside an aqua oval frame set on a light blue card base.  The set's "happy birthday, my friend" sentiment was stamped on an orange fishtail flag strip that I tucked just beneath the bear's feet.  To bring in a bit more orange, I wrapped the right side of the cardfront with a strip of orange striped washi tape.  A trio of aqua enamel dots arranged around the oval frame completed the design.
