Hello Friend
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The layout's large panel was perfect for showing off a large sentiment like the one in the Hello Hello set from The Stamp Market.
I used my MISTI to stamp the two "hello" stamps in two shades of pink ink, slightly offsetting the images to add interest. The MISTI made it super easy to get the images lined up--and to stamp the images again to fill in spots that didn't get quite fully inked on the first try. I die cut the word "friend from the Scripty Hellos die set from both bright pink cardstock and craft foam. The pieces were layered, then adhered to the bottom of the stamped panel. I accented the die cut piece with a trio of pink sequins. The panel was matted on pale pink cardstock.
For the background, I found a dotted pink patterned paper panel in my scrap pile. After trimming it down, I matted it on coordinating pink cardstock, then adhered it to a bright pink cardstock panel. I adhered a strip of ribbon across the bottom of the dotted panel, then added the sentiment panel on top, using foam tape for dimension. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating pink card base.
Materials Used:
Hello Hello stamp set, Scripty Hellos dies (The Stamp Market); Memento Rose Bud and Angel Pink inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Pale Peony and Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Pink Tonal Dots patterned paper (Michaels); pink sequins (Treehouse Studio); craft foam; foam tape
