Popping By to Say Thank You
Here's my card for this month's SugarPea Designs Mix It Up challenge. I combined elements of the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo, including the color scheme and the popcorn theme.
The sweet girlie from the SugarPea Designs What's Poppin'? set was perfect for the challenge! I colored the image up with Copic markers, then cut it out with the matching die. I usually struggle with coloring hair, but I'm not too unhappy with how the hair on this image turned out, so I'll call it a win! The finished image was adhered to a blue gingham panel using foam tape. I used one of the banners from the Celebrate Party Banner Duo die set to cut a navy blue banner to string across the top of the card. The set's "popping by to say thank you" sentiment was stamped to the left of the image in black ink. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating navy card base.
Materials Used:
What's Poppin'? stamp set, What's Poppin'? and Celebrate Party Banner Duo dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Spring Rain patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
