The Challenge is back with a new papercrafting challenge to inspire you! This week we're featuring a fun color challenge--black, white, and a color of your choice.
I chose yellow as my third color. It was perfect for showcasing one of the light bulbs from the SugarPea Designs Watt's Up stamp set. I stamped the bulb in white pigment ink at the top of a black cardstock panel, then heat embossed the image in white.
To give the bulb a warn glow, I dug out some long-neglected supplies. I used sparkly yellow chalk to make a beam extending out from the bulb. The beam's crisp edges are courtesy of the sticky notes I used to define the area. I stamped the set's "you brighten my day" sentiment on a narrow strip of yellow cardstock and adhered it to the panel using foam tape for dimension. A trio of enamel dots scattered around the panel completed the design. The finished panel was adhered to a yellow card base to match the sentiment strip.
