Work That Crown

Work That Crown card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
The almost back to summer weather we experienced over the past few days inspired this pineapple themed card.  It was hard to think about fall--and winter--with temperatures at close to 80!

The layout is from the current challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  I used a pineapple image from the Paper Smooches Pineapple Crush stamp set.  The image was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the matching Pineapple Crush Icons die.  I used foam tape to adhere the die cut image to a circle over a length of looped gold thread.  The image panel was matted on a gold circle, then adhered to a pale green card base over a golden yellow dotted patterned paper panel.  For the sentiment, I stamped the "work that crown" sentiment from the Pineapple Crush 2 set in a straight line on a narrow golden yellow cardstock strip.  The sentiment strip was adhered over the pineapple image, using foam tape at the ends for dimension.

Materials Used:
Pineapple Crush and Pineapple Crush 2 stamp sets, Pineapple Crush Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Moss and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); The Sweetest Thing-Honey 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); gold thread (Michaels); foam tape
