Flurry of Warm Wishes

Flurry of Warm Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea Designs
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I've had the beautiful Flurry of Warm Wishes stamp set from SugarPea Designs on my desk since it arrived at my house and knew right away that this layout was perfect for showing off the set's intricate snowflake images.  Here, I stamped the largest snowflake twice in diagonal corners of a watercolor paper panel.  The image was stamped in silver ink, then heat embossed in silver ink for more shimmer.  After stamping the set's "sending you a flurry of warm wishes" sentiment between the flakes and embossing it, too, I pressed the panel into some distress inks spritzed with water to give the panel a watercolored look.  Once the panel dried, I adhered it to a silver cardstock mat, then placed it on a coordinating blue card base.

Materials Used:
Flurry of Warm Wishes stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks (Ranger); Bermuda Bay cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); silver embossing powder (Hero Arts)
