Sweet Birthday Wishes

Sweet Birthday Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
The current Lawn Fawnatics "fun with food" themed challenge was just the inspiration I needed to create this sweet birthday card for a coworker!  I used the cupcake image from Lawn Fawn's new Sweet Friends set to make a pair of yummy-looking cupcakes.  I don't usually use the little face images in LF's sets, but I couldn't resist here.  I paired the sweet treats with a dotted patterned paper panel.  After matting the patterned paper on pale pink cardstock, I adhered it to a lemon yellow card base.  The "sweet birthday wishes" sentiment, created by mixing and matching sentiments from the Sweet Friends and Happy Happy Happy stamp sets, was stamped on a silver fishtail flag strip.  The sentiment panel was positioned over the patterned panel, then topped with the cupcake pair.  A trio of pink sequins arranged around the cupcakes completed the design.

Materials Used:
Sweet Friends and Happy Happy Happy stamp sets, Sweet Friends dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Pretty in Pink cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lemon Tart cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); Dwell 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); Die-namics Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); pink sequins (Treehouse Studio); foam tape
