You Are Awesome
Here's my card for the current (for a few more minutes!) sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. I challenged myself to only use pieces from my scrap pile to complete the design. I think I was successful--at least I was in using only scraps part!
After sifting and sorting through my scraps of patterned paper, I settled on a red, white, blue, and silver color scheme. The silver added a fun bit of sparkle and shine to the mix of colors and patterns. I cut a piece of the star patterned paper to fit the corner of the red card base, then mixed and matched solid and patterned scraps to fill in the rest of the design. The "you are awesome" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Simply Sentiments set was stamped on one of the silver strips in black ink. I accented the words with a trio of different sized enamel dots to finish the card.
Materials Used:
Simply Sentiments stamp set (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Riding Hood Red and Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); red enamel dots (Doodlebug Design)
