Color Throwdown 479-Forever and Ever
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Vickie is our hostess today with a color combination that's perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday--red, pink, and gray.
I went with a heart theme on my design, using a pair of hearts cut with the Dual Dotted Hearts dies from Lil' Inker Designs. The pink and red die cut hearts were positioned on a white cardstock panel. I used foam tape on the pink one to add dimension. For the sentiment, I stamped the words "forever and" from LID's Ever stamp set on the larger red heart in gray pigment ink. To complete the saying, I die cut the elegant "ever" from gray cardstock and craft foam, then layered the two pieces for dimension before adhering them to the panel. I felt like it needed a little something "more," so I added a super narrow shiny silver cardstock strip just beneath the hearts and die cut word. The finished panel was adhered to a pink card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD479. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd479 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and our February guestie Claire Apostoloff, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Larissa Heskett.
