Mission Control, We Have a Birthday
Here's my card for the current installment of the My Favorite Things Birthday Project. The current theme is balloons, so this adorable image from the Space Explorer set was a perfect fit! I colored the image up with Copic markers, then cut it out with the matching dies. For the background, I mixed some distress oxides with water, then pressed a panel of watercolor paper on to the mix. It makes a great sky background! The die cut image was adhered to the panel using foam tape. I stamped the set's birthday sentiment to the left of the image in black ink. A few silver glitter enamel dots were arranged around the image as stars to fill in the sky a bit. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating teal card base.
Materials Used:
Space Explorer stamp set, Die-namics Space Explorer dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Broken China and Faded Jeans distress oxides (Ranger); markers (Copic); Taken with Teal cardstock (Stampin' Up!); silver enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
