Simple Snarky Shadow Thanks

Simple Snarky Shadow Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the layout to create a monochromatic thank you card using the Snarky Shadow Thanks stamp and die set from Lil' Inker Designs.  I started out by selecting a patterned paper panel to use to cover most of my card base. After picking an aqua plaid patterned paper, I found coordinating solids for the card base and an accent.  I went with a light aqua card base, then added the plaid panel on top, edged with a contrasting strip of darker blue cardstock along the right side.

Then I went on a search for coordinating inks for the sentiment!  I found two ink cubes from different companies and used them to stamp the "thanks" sentiment.  It was cut out with the coordinating die, then adhered to the cardfront using foam tape.  I stamped the "for the nice words and stuff" directly beneath the raised die cut in black ink.  A trio of aqua enamel dots arranged around the sentiment completed the simple design.

Materials Used:
Snarky Shadow Thanks stamp set and die (Lil' Inker Designs); Tropical Teal ink (My Favorite Things); Iced Aqua ink (Reverse Confetti); Bermuda Bay cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Perfectly Plaid-Fall 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); aqua enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
