Stand Tall

Stand Tall card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper SmoochesIt's been a rough few months at my job, so this "stand tall" card is a good mantra for what's been going on over the last little while.  I'm planning to give it to one of my colleagues to remind her to hang in there.

The design was inspired by the current challenge at The Paper Players.  My focal image is one of the pineapples from the Paper Smooches Pineapple Crush stamp set.  I colored the image with Copic markers, then cut it out with the matching die from the Pineapple Crush Icons dies.  After wrapping up a length of sparkly gold thread on a pale green panel, I added the colored image on top,  using foam tape for dimension.  The "stand tall" sentiment from the Pineapple Crush 2 stamp set was stamped beneath the image in black ink.  I adhered the image panel to a darker green cardstock panel with a strip of shiny gold paper across it to match the thread.  The finished panel was adhered to a golden yellow card base.

Materials Used:
Pineapple Crush and Pineapple Crush 2 stamp sets, Pineapple Crush Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); gold cord (Michaels); foam tape
