I Thank My Lucky Stars for You

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I let a die cut from Concord & 9th's Lucky stamp set do most of the work here.

I Thank My Lucky Stars for You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
The word "lucky" was cut from red and cream cardstock so I could decide which I liked better on the card.  After settling on red, I layered the two pieces and adhered them to the kraft panel. The rest of the sentiment was stamped around the die cut in brown ink.  I edged the kraft panel with narrow strips of chocolate brown and red cardstock, then placed it across the middle of a star patterned paper panel. The patterned paper panel was adhered to a coordinating red card base.  I accented the sentiment strip with a trio of wood veneer stars.  The one on the top right wiggled up a bit from where I intended to place it, so after I took the photo, I nudged it down so it was fully on the kraft panel.

Materials Used:
Lucky stamp set, Lucky dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Sasparilla-Pony Express designer paper (October Afternoon); wood veneer stars (Studio Calico)
