One Cup at a Time
Here's my card for Verve's March inspiration challenge. The challenge theme was green and the inspiration photo featured a mug, so I incorporated those elements into my design.
I inked up the mug trio from Verve's One Cup stamp set, omitting the tea bags when I inked. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I used the coordinating Cuppa Tea dies to cut out the colored image. To create a background for the image, I stamped the grid image from the Making a Statement set in white pigment ink on a watercolor paper panel, then heat embossed the grid in white. I did a little ink blending with two shades of green distress inks to bring out the embossed image. Once I was happy with the inking, I added the image on top, using foam tape for dimension. I positioned a trio of gray enamel dots around the image as an accent. The "one cup at a time" sentiment was stamped above the images in gray pigment ink. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating green card base.
Materials Used:
One Cup and Making a Statement stamp sets. Cuppa Tea dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Luxe Wedding Dress and Gray Flannel inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, and Old Paper distress inks (Ranger); Green Parakeet cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Snow embossing powder (Michaels); gray enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
