Thanks for Making My Day Awesome

Thanks for Making My Day Awesome card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
Here's my card for this month's Viva la Verve sketch challenge.  I used the sketch to make a thank you card that, believe it or not, has already been sent off in the mail! Amazing, right??

I used the fun triangle patterned paper as a starting point for my design.  After adhering the patterned panel to a mint green card base, I found a few coordinating solid colors to use for the panels on the cardfront.  Each panel was cut with a die with a pierced detail.  The detail helps them to stand out without being matted.  The round cream panel was stamped with a thank you sentiment from Verve's Better Together stamp set.  I added the chevron pattern below the text in mint ink.  I think I  would have liked it better if I'd stamped it just a tiny bit lower.  After putting the sentiment panel in place, I arranged a trio of gold sequins around it for a bit of sparkle and some round edges to contrast with all of the sharp triangle points.

Materials Used:
Better Together stamp set (Verve Stamps); Aquamarine and Mint to Be pigment inks (Avery Elle); Mint Julep and Tropical Teal cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Cameo Coral cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Just Be You 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); Pierced Circle STAX, Pierced Fishtail Flag STAX, and Pierced Rectangle STAX dies (My Favorite Things); gold sequins

  1. Cute card today, Lori. Love the stitched and dotted dies cutting the solid CS. Sweet sentiment is perfect. Enjoy your day!
