Hay There

Hay There card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
Here's my card for this month's Paper Smooches color challenge.  I incorporated several of the colors from the color swatch provided to make this punny farm themed card.

My focal image is from the PS Green Acres set.  I used one of the small images in the set to convert my farmer from a boy to a girl by adding pigtails coming out from underneath the farmer's hat before coloring and cutting the image.  To ground the image I adhered a strip of kraft cardstock to a light blue card base, then added the cut out image on top, using foam tape for dimension.  I filled in the scene with a yellow gingham pinking circle sun topped with a shimmery white cloud.  For the sentiment, I did a bit of creative stamping, meshing two sentiments from the Sentiment Sampler set to create the "hay there" sentiment that I stamped to the left of the farmer image to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Green Acres and Sentiment Sampler stamp sets, Clouds dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Rain and Kraft cardstock, Lemon Tart patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
