Keeping Christmas: June 2018

It's time for the June installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  For this month's card, I used stamps from Verve Stamps, owned by the team's own Julee Tilman.  Verve will be closing its doors in just a few days and I will definitely miss it! So, with that in mind, I picked some of my holiday favorites from Verve for this month's card.

The Stockings Were Hung card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Verve Stamps
I went with the adorable Jolly Jingles set for my design.  I colored the stocking pair with Copic markers, then cut out the colored images with the matching Winter Friends dies.  To give the images a whimsical touch, I dotted on some silver Liquid Pearls.  While the dots dried, I assembled the rest of the card.  The sentiment was stamped on a white panel that I matted on gold paper.  I positioned the panel on a vintage-feeling sage green patterned paper panel, angling it for interest.  I added a strip of red satin ribbon across the top left corner of the panel, tucking the ends behind the panel's back. A simple bow, made with my Bow Easy, was added on top of the ribbon.  Once I was sure that the Liquid Pearls accents stockings were dry, I used foam tape to add them to the panel to finish the card.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:
