Unforgettable

Unforgettable card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from WPlus9
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I showcased an image that I'd colored earlier this week as part of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge on this design that is based on Charlet's card.

I kept the layout the same as Charlet's original design.  I also incorporated her mixing of patterns on the card's panels, pairing a bold floral (like she used) with a more neutral pattern (plaid in my case).  I arranged the pieces on a coordinating aqua card base, bringing in one of the colors she used on her design, but making it more dominant in my version.  The elephant and balloon images from the WPlus9 Unforgettable stamp set were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the matching dies.  I used foam tape to adhere them to a white panel, then positioned them over a silver pierced circle die cut layered over the two patterned paper panels.  I stamped the set's birthday sentiment on a narrow aqua cardstock strip and used more foam tape to adhere the words to the card.

Materials Used:
Unforgettable stamp set, Unforgettable dies (WPlus9); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); Just Be You 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); Perfectly Plaid-Fall 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); Pierced Circle STAX and Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); foam tape
