You're a Bright Spot

The theme for this month's Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge is sparkle and shine.  My card using Concord & 9th's Rainbow Wishes stamps and dies incorporates both of those elements.

Bright Spot card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
The rainbow was stamped on white cardstock using a colorful array of inks.  I die cut two clouds from shiny silver cardstock and used foam tape to adhere them to the bottom of the rainbow.  For the sentiment, I stamped "you're a" and "spot in my world" in black on the rainbow and one cloud.  The "bright" was die cut from more silver cardstock and craft foam.  After layering the die cut pieces, I adhered them to the panel to finish the sentiment.  A trio of clear jewels were arranged around the card as an accent.  The finished panel was matted on more silver cardstock, then adhered to a blue card base.

Where's the sparkle, you may ask?  Well, it's there but doesn't show in my photo.  I used a clear glitter brush pen to lay a light coating of glitter over the rainbow's bands.  It's so pretty IRL, but unfortunately my photo skills don't do it justice!
