Absolutely Fantastic

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  A fun piece of patterned paper helped to pull this small square card together quickly.

Absolutely Fantastic card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I cut a square of the patterned paper--the pattern kind of reminds me of sprinkles, by the way--then adhered a strip of coordinating minty green cardstock diagonally across the square.  The solid strip breaks up the busy design, but doesn't cover it too much.  I edged the mint strip with narrow pieces of aqua cardstock for more contrast.  I used the same color cardstock to cut out the "fantastic" sentiment using one of Reverse Confetti's You're So dies. For dimension, I cut the word again from craft foam and layered the two pieces.  I adhered the word to a pink cardstock strip.  The "you're absolutely" sentiment from RC's You're So stamp set was stamped above it in turquoise pigment ink.  I matted the sentiment panel with an offset piece of shiny silver paper, then adhered it to the patterned panel.  I accented it with a trio of silver glitter enamel dots.  The finished panel was adhered to a an aqua card base.

Materials Used:
You're So stamp set, You're So dies (Reverse Confetti); Aquamarine pigment ink (Avery Elle); Mint Julep, Hawaiian Shores, and Pale Peony cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Fabulous 6x6 paper pad (Authentique); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); craft foam
